Our school is shaped by a long and proud tradition of education in Skerries, rooted in the legacy of Holy Faith, De La Salle and vocational education in the town. That tradition continues to guide and inform daily life in our college today, providing a strong foundation for everything we do. Central to this is the guiding spirit reflected in our crest-Signum Fidei, the Sign of Faith, which speaks to our shared commitment to respect, care and belief in the potential of every student.
As part of the Dublin and Dún Laoghaire Education and Training Board (DDLETB), we are proud to promote a school culture grounded in inclusion, equality and opportunity for all. At Skerries Community College, we encourage every student to do their best, to take part fully in school life, and to grow in confidence throughout their time with us. We strive to create an environment where each young person feels valued, supported and empowered to achieve their potential.
We are deeply committed to nurturing a strong sense of belonging within our school community and continually reflect on and strengthen this as part of our ongoing development as a school. This is underpinned by genuine care for each student and focus on their hoslitic growth and wellbeing. Signum Fidei is not simply a motto; it is lived out daily in the interactions, relationships and mutual respect that shape our school environment.
We hope that exploring our website will give you a sense of the spirit of our school, a place where students are supported, challenged and encouraged to succeed, and where every student is known, valued and included.
