Training for board members was conducted by County Dublin VEC. Attendance at meetings is very good and the board is active in its role. The Chairperson of the board and the Principal are in regular contact by phone and e-mail. Decisions by the board are generally by consensus. The minutes of all Board meetings are submitted to Co. Dublin V.E.C. and agreed reports are presented to staff and parents.

Priorities for school development

The Board sees policy development as a priority. The school’s policies are developed through consultation with the staff, students, parents and the Board. The college is in its second year of full engagement with the SDPI process of the D.E.S. We have an excellent facilitator in Dolores Mullins. Other areas for development are the further enhancement of the new Library, the completion of the college grounds and the upgrading of the facilities and buildings of the original college building.
